Questions

AI phone agent FAQ: straight answers.

What is wolf?

A phone line with an AI agent on it for your business. You pick your industry and a role, give the agent what it knows, and it answers every call: it looks up the answer, books the next step, takes the lead, and hands a ready caller to a person. After every call you get a written summary.

Do I have to set up a bot or write a script?

No. The agent is ours and it runs on our servers. You answer six questions about your business, pick a role, and upload what it should know. If you want to write the whole script yourself, the Custom role opens it up, with room for about two thousand words.

How does it know my inventory, my prices and my hours?

You give it three things. A spreadsheet, exported from your system as a CSV, with up to two thousand rows; it recognises the columns by name. Up to twenty pages from your own website, which it reads when you add them and re-reads every day. And typed policies: hours, financing, cancellation, anything you would tell a new hire. You can also tell it things in the dialogue, and each one becomes a standing rule.

What happens when it does not know the answer?

It says so, tells the caller someone will follow up, and writes the question down. Every question it could not answer is in one list on your desk, so you can add the fact once. It never invents a price, an hour, a stock number or a policy.

What happens when someone calls?

The agent answers as your business within about two seconds. It finds out who is calling and what they need, looks up the answer, and moves to the next step: a booking, a lead, a message, or a transfer. Then it emails you a summary and the transcript is on your desk.

Can it book appointments?

Yes. It offers the nearest times from the windows you set, takes the day and time, reads it back, and records the booking with the caller's name and number. The booking lands in your inbox and on your desk. It does not yet write to Google or Outlook calendars, so your team confirms it in whatever you use today.

Can it put a caller through to a person?

Yes. When a caller is ready, the agent rings a person on their mobile and connects them. You choose who: one person, a team that takes turns, or a schedule by day and time with a fallback. If nobody picks up, the agent takes the caller's name and number and promises a call back.

Can it call people back?

Yes. Ask it in the dialogue, or from the desk: "call Marcus back about the Tahoe." It places the call, opens by saying who is calling and why, and emails you what was agreed. It calls US and Canada numbers only.

What about texts?

Texts to the line are saved on your desk and emailed to you. The agent does not text back yet: US carriers deliver business texts only from numbers on an approved registration, and ours is in progress. Nothing on the site promises a text conversation until it is on.

What does the dialogue do?

It is how you train the agent by talking to it. Ask what happened today. Ask why it said something. Tell it "financing starts at 4.9%" and that is a rule from the next call on. Ask it to call a lead back. Nothing to configure.

How good is the voice?

Good enough that callers treat it as a person. There are two engines. Live voices talk and listen at the same time, so a caller can interrupt. Grok voices are the originals, the clearest on a phone line. Every voice has a play button in Settings, and you can switch any time.

Does it pretend to be human?

No. It speaks as your business and says it is an AI whenever anyone asks. People are more helpful when they know.

Can it take a card or a deposit?

No. The agent never reads out or takes a card number, and never agrees to a charge. Payments stay in the tools you use today. A booking or a lead is the most it commits you to.

Can I keep my number?

Yes. Forward your existing number to the line, or put the new number on your site and your signs. The new number is in your area code.

Where can it call, and for how long?

US and Canada numbers. A single call runs up to ten minutes; the agent wraps up politely before the limit. A line can be on three calls it answered and three it placed at the same time, and it places at most sixty calls an hour.

What does it cost?

Starter is $79 a month: one agent, one number, 300 minutes. Two agents is $128: two agents, two numbers, 500 minutes shared. Growth is $199 with 1,000 minutes. Add an agent to any plan for $49 a month with 200 more minutes. Extra minutes are 25 cents each.

What counts as a minute?

Time connected on a call, in or out, rounded up per call. A typical call takes three to four minutes. Texts, email, the dialogue and the desk never use minutes.

What happens if I go over my minutes?

Calls keep working. Each extra minute is 25 cents, on one invoice at the end of the month. We email you at 80% of your minutes and again at the limit. Moving to a larger plan turns the extra minutes off.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. 7 days and 30 minutes on a real number, with a card on file. Nothing is charged today. On day 8 the card is charged $79 for Starter unless you cancel first, and we email you 2 days before. One trial per person.

Why two agents?

Because sales and service are different jobs. One agent answers the sales line as a salesperson who knows the lot; another answers the service line as the service desk. Each has its own number, voice, greeting and knowledge, and they share one pool of minutes.

Can I hear it before I sign up?

Yes. The demo page has recorded calls, each made on our own test line and approved one by one. There is no number to dial. Once you have signed up, the agent calls your own mobile so you hear it in your own ear before any customer does.

Who can see my calls?

You, and the people you give access to. Transcripts, summaries, your uploads and your rules are encrypted with a key that is separate for every line. Our staff tools show usage, not conversations. We keep no audio. Your calls are never used to train models.

Can I cancel?

Any time, in Settings, in a few seconds. The line stays on until the end of the period you paid for, then the number is released. No contract and no setup fee.
