Your price list as a CSV or typed in: the diagnostic fee, the service call, the after-hours rate, and the flat-rate jobs you are happy to say on the phone.
On the roof, under a sink, and every call still answered.
The agent answers your line while the crew works. It takes the job and the address, quotes only the prices on your list, and books the estimate visit or the service window: a day and a two-hour window, read back. Nobody climbs down a ladder to answer the phone.
Made for: HVAC companies with two or three techs · Plumbers running two or three trucks · Roofers who are on a roof all day · Shops that do all three and a little electrical
Wants a quote on replacing the central air at 22 Harbor Road. The current unit is about fourteen years old and the house is a single story. The agent quoted the $89 diagnostic fee from the price list, said a comfort advisor prices a new system after a visit, and booked Tuesday with a 10:00 am to 12:00 pm window, read back, with her mobile.

An example. The names and numbers are invented; the shape is what every call produces.
An AI answering service for HVAC, plumbing and roofing companies
A live answering service takes a name and pages the owner for everything, including a drip. An AI answering service for HVAC, plumbing and roofing has to know your prices and your schedule, and this one does because you gave it both. It takes the job and the address, quotes the diagnostic fee from your list, books a two-hour window, and puts a summary in your inbox.
- The phone rings while the owner is under a sink.
- A new customer calls two companies and books the one that picked up.
- An estimate request with a street name and no house number.
- Dispatch asking the same five questions every time a tech calls back.
- Answers as your company, by name, within two seconds.
- Takes the job: what is wrong, since when, and the make and age of the system if the caller knows it.
- Takes the address, the best number, and how to get in, and reads it all back.
- Books the estimate visit or the service window: a day and a two-hour window, read back.
- Puts a caller who asks for a person through to the tech you choose, on their mobile, and takes name and number if nobody picks up.
- Quotes only the prices on your list, like the diagnostic fee, and emails you a summary after every call.
What it knows about roofing, hvac & plumbing.
Your website's services and service-area pages, re-read every day.
Hours, the service area, the brands you work on, and your warranty.
Rules you give it in the dialogue, like "we do not service window units".
The jobs it can take for roofing, hvac & plumbing.
One role per line. Two jobs, two agents, one desk.
Takes the address and the job, books a two-hour window or the estimate visit, and reads it back.
Takes the quote request: the job, the address, and the details you told it to ask for, so a tech prices it once.
Routes the call: a new job, a job in progress, a bill, a message, or a person.
A call of the same kind.
Straight answers.
How does it know my inventory, my prices and my hours?
You give it three things. A spreadsheet, exported from your system as a CSV, with up to two thousand rows; it recognises the columns by name. Up to twenty pages from your own website, which it reads when you add them and re-reads every day. And typed policies: hours, financing, cancellation, anything you would tell a new hire. You can also tell it things in the dialogue, and each one becomes a standing rule.
What happens when it does not know the answer?
It says so, tells the caller someone will follow up, and writes the question down. Every question it could not answer is in one list on your desk, so you can add the fact once. It never invents a price, an hour, a stock number or a policy.
Can it book appointments?
Yes. It offers the nearest times from the windows you set, takes the day and time, reads it back, and records the booking with the caller's name and number. The booking lands in your inbox and on your desk. It does not yet write to Google or Outlook calendars, so your team confirms it in whatever you use today.
Can it put a caller through to a person?
Yes. When a caller is ready, the agent rings a person on their mobile and connects them. You choose who: one person, a team that takes turns, or a schedule by day and time with a fallback. If nobody picks up, the agent takes the caller's name and number and promises a call back.
Can it take a card or a deposit?
No. The agent never reads out or takes a card number, and never agrees to a charge. Payments stay in the tools you use today. A booking or a lead is the most it commits you to.
